Danavox Hearing Aids Compared: The Eight Families Side by Side

Audiology8 min read

Danavox hearing aids compared side by side: our catalogue lists eight Danavox families (KLAR, BARANI, Anthe, Boreal, Brisa, Astro Core, Astro Pro and Astro Pro SP) with 72 listed models. Three of those listings are CROS transmitters rather than hearing aids, so the catalogue holds 69 hearing aids and 3 CROS transmitters. The families differ in styles, battery options, technology levels, channel counts and wireless connectivity, and this article sets those differences out family by family.

This is a comparison of what is published, not a recommendation. Which family and model suits you depends on your hearing test, your ear shape and your daily routine, and the final choice is made with an audiologist. All product details below come from the Danavox portfolio as published in our hearing aid catalogue; claims in quotation marks or attributed to Danavox are the manufacturer's own descriptions.

How to read this comparison

For each family you will find the same five points:

  • Styles: for example RIC (receiver-in-canal), MiniRIE or MicroRIE (smaller receiver-in-ear designs), CIC (completely-in-canal) and behind-the-ear (BTE) designs graded as Mini, Standard, Power and Super Power BTE.
  • Batteries: rechargeable, or disposable zinc-air batteries in sizes 10, 312, 13 or 675.
  • Technology levels: KLAR and Astro Core use Essential and Essential Plus; the other six families use Select, Advanced and Premium.
  • Channels: the number of processing channels listed for each model.
  • Connectivity: as listed for the family. Wireless features are a family-level description; always confirm the specific model.

If you want to understand what changes between technology levels, our article on hearing aid technology levels explains it in plain language.

  • Super Power BTE appears in KLAR, Anthe, Astro Core and Astro Pro SP.
  • CROS transmitters appear only in Brisa and Astro Pro.
  • CIC is only in KLAR, and Mini BTE only in BARANI.

Using this comparison with your audiologist

A comparison helps you ask better questions, but it cannot tell you which hearing aid fits your hearing. The degree and pattern of your hearing loss can rule some styles in or out, and your ear shape, dexterity and phone use matter too. If you want a needs-based starting point, see our guide on how to choose the best hearing aids in Oman.

At a Danavox hearing aid fitting appointment, the audiologist reviews your hearing test, discusses which families and models match it, then programs the chosen hearing aids and fine-tunes them at follow-up visits. Every Danavox hearing aid from Jordan Hearing & Speech comes with a one-year warranty; the full terms are on the hearing aids page.
