1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Jordan Hearing & Speech — Muscat ("JHSM", "JoHearing", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data through this website. The data controller is Global Gulf Elite SPC (صفوة الخليج العالمية ش ش و), Commercial Registration No. 1345319, which operates Jordan Hearing & Speech. Address: Bousher, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. Contact: info@johearing.com, +968 9171 8373.
We aim to process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Sultanate of Oman (Royal Decree No. 6/2022) and its Executive Regulation (Ministerial Decision No. 34/2024).
2. The Data We Collect
Appointment requests: your name, phone number, email address (optional), the service you choose, the specialist and branch (optional), your preferred date and time, and any notes you choose to add.
Information requests (for example about a hearing aid, an accessory, or after using a free tool): your name, phone number, email address (optional) and the product or topic you ask about.
Free tools: the answers you give, used to show your result. Tool answers are stored with a random session code, not with your name. They are linked to a contact request only if you ask a specialist to contact you and agree to share them.
Technical data: when any website is visited, the server records technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the website working. We also count how the free tools are used (for example, that a tool was started or completed) without names, IP addresses or cookies.
When you call us, message us on WhatsApp or email us, we receive the details you send through that channel.
3. Health Information
Some information may relate to your health: the service you choose, the notes you write, or your answers in a hearing, speech or nutrition tool. We treat this as sensitive personal data. We use it only to answer your request and to provide or arrange your care, and only as permitted under the Personal Data Protection Law and its Executive Regulation.
We ask for your explicit agreement in each form before you send it. Browsing the website does not mean you agree to the processing of health information. Please share only what is needed for us to contact you; our team will discuss clinical details with you directly.
4. Why We Use Your Data
To answer your appointment or information request and contact you about it; to arrange and provide the care you ask for; to show you the result of a free tool; to keep the website secure and working; to understand, in aggregate, how the free tools are used so we can improve them; and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles. Data collected through this website is not used for Xposio's own marketing accounts, pixels or audiences.
5. Who Can Process Your Data
Authorised clinic staff, each with access limited to what their role needs; administrative changes are logged.
Service providers acting on our instructions: Xposio, our technology partner, which develops, hosts and maintains this website and its systems; and the server (VPS) infrastructure on which the website runs.
Channels you choose to use: if you email us, your message is handled by our email service (Microsoft 365); if you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) processes the conversation under its own terms; if you open the map on the Contact page, Google Maps is loaded from Google.
We may also disclose data where required by law or by a competent authority.
Some of these providers may process data outside the Sultanate of Oman. Where this happens, we only do so in line with the conditions of the Personal Data Protection Law and its Executive Regulation.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and as required or permitted by applicable Omani laws and regulatory obligations.
7. How We Protect Your Data
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the administration system is restricted to authorised staff through individual accounts and role-based permissions, and administrative changes are recorded. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the data we hold.
8. Data Breaches
If a personal data breach occurs, we act to contain it and assess its effect, and we notify the competent authority and the people concerned where the Personal Data Protection Law and its Executive Regulation require it.
9. Your Rights
Subject to the Personal Data Protection Law and its Executive Regulation, you may ask to: know what personal data we hold about you and how it is processed; receive a copy of it; correct or update it; have it deleted when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected and we are not required by law to keep it; and withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent (this does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it).
To make a request, contact us at info@johearing.com or +968 9171 8373, or in person at the clinic. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the competent authority in the Sultanate of Oman.
