01The service
What This Includes
Who it is for
Children with signs or suspicion of hearing loss, delayed speech and language development, no appropriate response to sounds, or a medical history that may affect hearing, as well as children who need regular hearing follow-up.
During the visit
We take the medical and hearing history, then choose the tests that suit the child's age, condition and level of cooperation. These may include a hearing assessment, a middle-ear examination and measurement of the eardrum (tympanometry), and other tests that are available and suitable for the case. The results are then explained to the parent, with recommendations and the next steps.
Do I need an appointment?
Booking an appointment in advance is preferred.
How long does it take?
Usually about 30–60 minutes; this may vary with the child's age, the type of tests and the level of cooperation.
