01The service
What This Includes
The assessment
It starts with a detailed history of the case and the symptoms, with an assessment of hearing and the middle ear when needed, and an assessment of the tinnitus itself: its nature, pitch, loudness and how much it affects you.
Services
We explain the condition, give suitable guidance, and discuss the options available for managing the tinnitus according to the assessment results. Where tinnitus comes with hearing loss, hearing aids or their dedicated tinnitus-management features may be among the suitable options for some cases.
You will be referred to an ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctor or the appropriate medical specialty when the symptoms or the assessment results indicate a need for it.
Follow-up
The follow-up approach is set individually according to the cause and characteristics of the tinnitus and the state of hearing. It may include education and guidance, sound-management strategies, and the use of hearing aid technology when it suits the case.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes.
How long does it take?
It varies with the tests required; the initial assessment usually takes longer than follow-up sessions.
