What matters with powerful hearing aids
With more amplification, a well-fitting earmould and careful programming matter as much as the device, because sound that escapes from the ear can return to the microphone and cause whistling. Follow-up visits are used to fine-tune the settings.
If hearing aids no longer give enough benefit, the audiologist may discuss other options, such as a cochlear implant assessment. Sudden hearing loss needs urgent medical care the same day.
Battery or rechargeable?
Some Power and Super Power models use zinc-air batteries and some are rechargeable. The list shows the battery for each model.
